Finally...a plumber that does what I ask him to do!  All work completed to a very high standard and as estimated in terms of the price and the timing. Everything works and looks great. I particularly liked the fact that I could pick and choose all the items I wanted in the bathroom. And he packs his things away and cleans up every day. What more could you ask?

Having been extremely pleased with the job Ian and his sub contractors did in refurbishing our en suite bathroom last year, we naturally called upon him to refurbish our kitchen this year. Once again Ian managed the project well, with all elements completed on time and to a very high standard. We were away for the first week of the work but Ian kept us informed of the progress with photos via WhatsApp. Throughout the process, Ian communicated with us either in person, by phone or text to check that we were happy with the progress and the work. Thanks to all who worked on our kitchen; another excellent job!

We had the pleasure of Ian and his team renovating our ensuite and main bathroom in 2022. Ian has a great balance of making suggestions that are in keeping with what the client is trying to achieve. Our ensuite is in a tight space in the loft so getting a shower in that would work well with the water pressure and space available was really important to us. Ian made this work for us and we are delighted with the result. Ian, Noel , Dan and the rest of the team are a pleasure to work with. The quality and finish of the work is top notch and they also leave the site very tidy each day. We would recommend Ian for any plumbing and bathroom work and would certainly have them back. I am a Trustee of the Princes Centre, award winning daycare centres, in Princes Risborough and Bourne End. As a charity value for money is critical and also to ensure our clients safety and wellbeing any works undertaken must be of the highest quality while ensuring all aspects of the vital health and safety requirements are undertaken. We employed ID Carr to renovate some existing space in our Bourne End facilty into a wet room, toilet area and a secure storage cupboard. Their estimate was very fair and they adhered to the original quotation and indeed undertook some extra works at their cost. The quality of the finished product was outstanding and the owner and all of his team kept us in touch with progress and further suggestions daily. We now plan to employ them on further projects in the future and highly recommend their services.

Contacted many plumbers from the Green Book regarding a leak at a friend's house - only two responded, one of which was Ian. Can't praise him highly enough - he came, fixed the leak and then, a few days later, returned to repair the damage to the ceiling and reinstate everything. No mess, no fuss, charming people - and really nice to have around. Would recommend him to anyone.

I came across Ian Carr in the Little Green Book and after reading his references decided to give him a call. He came to look at our job, gave us a quote and was able to start in April now a few weeks later we have an beautiful newly refurbished en suite. Ian is a diligent worker, constantly chasing up on any subcontractors, he gave us advice on products and kept us informed at every stage. Ian, Noel and Dan kept the house protected and they cleaned every evening before leaving. They have finished all parts of the job to a high standard and we are very happy with their work and their behaviour whilst working for us. I had various problems with my central heating system although the boiler was fine. Ian diagnosed the possible issues and replaced faulty units (programmer and thermostat) and an electrician colleague did the connection. I now have a system that works as it is supposed to! When our boiler failed on a Sunday morning I called Ian. He came our within the hour, diagnosed a blocked pump, fetched a new one, replaced it and got our heating and hot water back up and running for us the same afternoon. Great service! So professional. I recently moved into my current house which had a cloakroom consisting of toilet, wash basin and coat hooks and a bathroom with shower over the bath. As I am arthritic and can’t use a bath nor clamber into one comfortably to use a shower, it was very important to me to have the services of a plumber as soon as possible to advise on and carry out the work needed to provide me with an updated bathroom and a shower which would be easily accessible. Ian was recommended to me and came to the house the same week as my initial call. He advised that the space used for coats in the cloakroom be better utilised to provide a downstairs shower which I agreed was an excellent idea. He quickly assessed the bathroom and, taking my mobility issues into account and my desire to have a completely new bathroom, discussed the layout options with me. Just over a week later, I had a lovely, new downstairs shower room and Ian and Noel had commenced the work on the bathroom which, when finished, gave me a beautiful main shower room. I now have two high quality bathrooms which have made an enormous difference to me and, in my opinion, revitalised the house. Ian is reliable, always willing to discuss the progress of the work or listen to any questions, tidy, considerate and friendly. He organised the trades people needed for electrical work, plastering and tiling so that work continued without a break. He is very ably assisted by Noel. While he was here, Ian was also happy to sort out other problems in the utility room and kitchen which I had previously mentioned to him. In summary, I will always turn to Ian regarding any plumbing issues which I am sure he would deal with quickly. I would not have any hesitation in recommending him to anyone needing the expertise of a reliable plumber.

Ian and noel installed our brand new bathroom. We had a tight budget and they were able to advise on the build before we started, without compromising on quality. This was the ultimate reason we decided to use them instead of others plumbers. Our old house didn't phase them and they provided an excellent service. Ian came over promptly to quote for a new shower room. He had a lot of advice and recommendations to help us decide what we needed. He arranged for all the additional tradesmen such as electrician/plasterer to complete the project. Ian and Noel were very skilled and carried out the work in a professional, quick and tidy manner, at a reasonable cost.They paid great attention to detail in all aspects of the project from the main jobs to the minor ones. We recently moved to Newbury and not knowing any local plumbers, it was recommended to call Ian to help with replacing & relocating our living room radiator and fitting TVR's to all existing radiators due to some of them leaking. Ian has been super helpful with advice/recommendations of other trades and patience with the changes we have made along the way! When the bath water leaked through the hallway ceiling, Ian was over the very next day to rectify the issue. We are in the process of changing and relocating other radiators within the house and in the future, should we wish to make any further changes, we will reach out to Ian to ask for his help. We highly recommend Ian and his team. Polite, punctual, tidy and nothing is ever too much trouble.

I was recommended to Ian by a friend who had been very pleased with his work. I was having problems with a mixer tap and called Ian expecting a call back in a couple of days but he came within 20 minutes and sorted the problem expertly. He discovered further issues with a leaky boiler and has arranged to come and check this for me. I feel very confident with Ian and will definitely be putting his company on the top of my list of reliable and trustworthy plumbing and heating engineers.

Shortly after leaving the last review for Ian, our Hot Water cylinder burst - it was literally the day after the review! Without hesitation, I rang Ian and at the time, it was early Saturday morning. Ian responded and arrived quickly to confirm the reason for the flood and took control. It was quite a mess but nothing was too much trouble - Ian organised a replacement and then sorted out replastering of the damaged downstairs areas and follow up re-painting. We were really grateful and Ian's number is now the ONLY number I need as he is happy to organise relevant trades and keep control of the job. Highly recommend and will not go anywhere else.

At a time when, for health reasons, I could not carry out any physical work Ian Carr attended very quickly to deal with a problem of leaking underfloor pipes on our CH system, made safe and subsequently carried out the necessary remedial work with his very able team, Noel and Daniel. They took every effort to cause as little disruption to the household as possible and went beyond what I would have expected them to do have to do, e.g. lifting and replacing carpets. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I can thoroughly recommend Ian and his team.

Communication was fantastic, Ian helped point me in the right direction and gave good ideas on what to do with my bathroom. If I could give Ian and Noel 10 stars as a review then I would. I met Ian late one evening when we had a significant water leak. He was at the door within about 15 mins and quickly identified the problem and began to sort the repair. Since the repair which was handed really swiftly with nothing being too much trouble, Ian has completed a number of follow up jobs to include installing a new shower and shower pump - everything was done swiftly, tidied up and there was total transparency around costing. I am shortly going to work with Ian and Noel to re-fit a bathroom and now, I simply wouldn't go anywhere else. I can't recommend Ian and Noel highly enough.

Ian has been a total lifesaver for us! We moved house recently into an older property with lots of plumbing issues. With 4 small children in tow, we needed things sorted ASAP and that’s exactly what Ian did. We are in our 80’s, we live in Woodley and in early January our heating went wrong. We approached Ian who really put himself out – such a pleasant man to deal with. Fixed the problem, don’t know what we would have done without him.
