I am very happy with my smart new courtyard garden. Jason kindly listened to my ideas and drew up a clear plan. He and his colleagues were very polite, considerate and helpful throughout the project. Jason's careful planning and attention to detail has ensured that the patio, the decking and the planters are all very neat and pleasing to look at.
We worked very well with Jason and his team – and they assisted us from the very beginning to help realise our vision. There were some considerable challenges with our original garden, but Jason has a very much a ‘can do’ attitude and we were able to resolve many of them. He gave continuous updates through the build and always had a keen eye for the overall effect. We can now use the garden how we always wanted to.
Jason carried out the following:
Complete removal of old lawn/planting/shrubs in an area of around 20m x 70m
Laying 80 tonnes of new soil to form the base for a new lawn, marking out new beds and sowing the new lawn
Levelling and laying 6 different areas with a sub-base for brick/slab paved areas and pathways to be laid after
I had previously had a garden design drawn up and Jason worked to that plan closely without any supervision, using whatever tools were required to get the job done (including digger/concrete breaker/dumper/laser level/etc.). There was a lot of hard labour plus tricky levelling work to ensure the paths/patios would ultimately drain properly.
The way Jason went about the work give me a good amount of confidence that it would get done well, to plan and that is what happened. It's a big garden and a lot of work was done and it's turned out really well.
The work that Jason Smith did for me. This included:
· Fitting a key lockable lock to my side gate
· Steam cleaned 2 large patios and then sealed with patio protector
· Removed existing lawn (mostly moss and weeds) and reseeded area with low-light tolerant grass seed. He then maintained area fully until lawn was re-established. I now have an enviable green lawn. Just what I wanted.
Jason undertook all tasks with courtesy and professionally. Everything was completed on time and to the agreed budget. Jason also tidied up after himself and ensure all waste was removed (as we had agreed at the outset).
I would have no hesitation in giving Jason Smith Landscapes 5 stars and would recommend him to anyone.
Jason recently completed a new design for our garden where we decided on a circular lawn idea rather than the original square. This would open up the borders to eventually introduce more plants next year. The newly turfed circular lawn was edged with a grey granite cobble stone with additional pathing stones to connect to the existing patio to the lawn and individual steps toward the shed.
