We are a couple in our 80's and rely on the Green Book very much. Recently we needed an electrician as one of our lights was giving us concern. We chose Allaways from Lower Earley. The gentleman who came was so good and charged us a very moderate fee. Thank you for recommending him.
We recently undertook a major refurbishment of the downstairs of our house, including new kitchen, lounge and complete new electrics (they were some 30 years old). They (James and Mark) were prompt, and kept to our tight schedule. They advised us thoroughly on the work that needed doing, and we're flexible without changing the price for the work when the little issues that you always know are coming began to crop up. This included that the down lights we had requested would not be fittable due to beams being in the way, they kindly changed the spots out for bar lights and did not change the cost of fitting, and since the bars were cheaper we in fact saved money. They also provided us with comprehensive advice on the new fuse board and what to do in case of failures, and were kind enough to come back and change the way our light switches worked free of charge when we decided we wanted to change what switch controlled which light, admittedly only a 10 minute job, but good that they didn't charge us none the less.
