Old Bath Road, Sonning, Reading RG4 6TQ
Rams play in the 3rd tier of English rugby (Division 1) and as we go to press are second in the league. To put this in perspective, the top tier includes clubs such as Saracens and Harlequins, so Rams have done rather well to be where they are and do look at the number of points that they clock up with their open style of rugby; they currently average over 30 points per game. Other illustrious clubs in the 3rd tier include such well-known old clubs as Richmond and Rosslyn Park. There’s a capacity of 1,500 at the ground with sheltered seating for 300 and there’s plenty of parking. Adults: £15. Kids: Free. Sensibly, it’s card payments only just in case you want a pie and a pint of locally brewed Rebellion. Great local sporting success story.
