‘It was like finding Selfridges food hall dumped in the middle of a field’ – the Guardian.  Darts Farm (farm shop of the year 2007) was recommended to us by almost everyone asked.  So much more than just a farm shop supporting local producers.  Also a restaurant; cider works and ale house; butchers; fish shed; florist; Fired Earth interiors; home and garden gifts and a wonderful children’s section.  Open 7 days a week.  If you’ve never been to Darts, you must.

Every 3rd Thursday in the Month, on the forecourt outside St Paul’s Church, right in the middle of the famously long High St, 8:30-1pm. Scrumptious fresh local produce straight from the farm, including quality meats, dairy products, bread, eggs, seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Support local farmers, meet local farmers, reduce ‘food miles’.

Recommended for their succulent free-range pork products, all processed by a master butcher.  This well-established family-run farm holds the welfare of its animals at paramount importance, and Andrew Freemantle was a finalist in the 2004 Farming Excellence Awards.
Incredible hog-roasts (DIY or supply + carve), bacon with no white watery run off, and a wide range of other pork products.  Shop also supplies local free-range beef, lamb and chicken.  Also eggs, vegetables, cider, ice cream, milk, honey, and a collection point for organic vegetable boxes.

Boasting one of the biggest Farmers Markets in East Devon, featuring local produce as well as several local crafts people. Ample parking also allows easy access to the local shops, or why not visit the famous church?
